About the Selkies
Selkies embody the enchanting spirit of transformation found in Celtic and Norse folklore, emerging from the coastal realms of Scotland, Ireland, Iceland, and the Faroe Islands. They inspire us with their magical ability to transition from seals into stunningly beautiful humans, shedding their seal skins in pursuit of their dreams. Though they are perpetually caught between the land and the ocean, their journey reminds us of our own potential to embrace change and find our true selves.
What you will learn in this Workshop?
Join us as we embark on a transformative journey into the enchanting world of Selkies. Together, we will uncover their captivating myths and reflect on the ways in which, as women, we have felt our own Seal skins taken from us—whether by family, by partners, or by patriarchal societal pressures that seek to define us.
We will discover empowering pathways to reclaim our seal skins, confront the trauma of feeling confined without them, and take steps to reconnect with our true selves and embrace our Skins.
We may also resonate with those who feel a longing for their Wings that were once clipped (like Maleficent) or for their Dragon Wings that have been stripped away.
This work will be profound and healing. Bring a journal to capture your insights, and consider bringing an item for the altar to honor your journey.

What to bring to Class?
We can’t wait to see your beautiful smile in class! Here are a few things you might want to bring along to make the experience even more enjoyable:
- Feel free to bring a pen and paper if you’d like to jot down notes. We’ll provide a handy outline and resources to guide you as you connect with each Goddess.
- If you have a floor chair or a cozy seat, bring it along! We’ll be sitting on the floor, so pillows, blankets, and any items that enhance your comfort are always welcome. For your convenience, we’re happy to provide yoga mats and small floor chairs with backs! If you need a chair, we’ve got you!
- Don’t forget to bring your favorite drink to keep yourself nourished! Many participants enjoy refreshing non-alcoholic beverages or water to stay hydrated, and we’ll also have complimentary coffee and tea.
NOTE: This sacred ceremony will take place on the floor. While yoga mats, regular chairs, and floor chairs will be available, we invite you to bring your favorite floor cushions, pillows, or anything else that will make you feel cozy.
There is a limit of 10 participants in this ceremony. So be sure to register early to guarantee your spot!

Angelique McGowan will be your insightful and knowledgeable guide during these truly fantastic and transformative experiences. With an impressive 20+ years of diverse experience working with a multitude of Goddesses across various traditions, she brings a wealth of wisdom to each encounter! Having explored and dabbled in many spiritual paths throughout her journey, Angelique proudly identifies as a Witch. However, it is her eclectic and expansive expertise that truly sets her apart and makes her an exceptional Author, skilled Witch, and compassionate Healer!
